Important Informations for Airmen jobs at the Airforce

Different levels of exam are conducted regarding this. Information on Job opportunities for Airmen is released on daily newspapers and the weekly employment news.

It is essential go directly on the specified date in the advertisement and take part. Must take the original certificates when taking part like this. This will be verified.

Next, a written examination is conducted. For Group-X, a technical airmen position questions from English, Physics and Mathematics will be asked.

For Group-Y Airmen position questions from General Knowledge, English and Reasoning will be asked. For Group-Y Medical Assistant position questions from English, Chemistry and Biology will be asked. These will be objective questions. For educational trainers and Music division. Questions to test their skills in the mentioned field will be asked.

A physical fitness test will be conducted to those who have passed the written exams. It is a must to pass this fitness test. 1.6 kms run within 6 to 8 minutes is part of it.

A direct interview is conducted for those who have passed the written exam and physical fitness tests. It is essential to pass a medical examination for the persons selected in the interview.

In Group-X division for technical Airmen post it is essential to obtain 50% marks. Apart from studying Physics, Mathematics and English or must have obtained a diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology and IT. Should be between the age of 17 to 22.

In any one of the courses like B.E, B.Com, B.Sc and a B.Ed degree a minimum of 50% marks should be obtained.  Otherwise, should obtain a qualification in B.Ed and have two years of teaching experience along with a degree in M.Sc, Maths/ Physics/ Computer Science or M.A English or M.C.A.  For the first division must be between 20 to 25 years and for the next division must be between 20 to 28 years of age. 

For group-Y and group-Z must posses’ skills in the related field.  For Y division must be between the age of 17 to 22 and for Z division must be between 17 to 35 years.  For these positions it is essential to have a height of 152.5 cms.  Must have a weight proportional to the height and the age. Must have a minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.  Should have good vision.
